Sara In Real Life

” In real life” is an expression I picked up in college, from my best friend. I use it instead of “no, really”, or “seriously”. For example, ” Hugo was the Social Network of this year’s Academy Awards. In real life.” Or ”  I don’t think cats are better than dogs. In real life.” And so on.

I think it’s ok to move on, now. So, here’s a bit about me:

I’m a Christian, coffee-loving associate pastor and I serve with the most delightful people you ever did see. I like poetry and short stories (Dickinson and Poe, to be quite specific), and I jam out to Broadway show tunes in my car on my way to work sometimes. And, yes, by sometimes I mean every day.

As an amateur musician and composer, my reach-for the-stars dream is to win an Academy Award for Best Original Score. Sometimes, I practice my acceptance speech. In a dress. In front of the mirror. Just kidding… kind of.  Don’t judge, we all have our quirks.

I’m thankful every day for my amazing family, my guinea pig, Oliver Elizabeth, my friends, and my life-shaping experiences. I’m extremely grateful for what I have, and mindful of those who have not.

And that’s pretty much me, in real life.

  1. Dear Sara,

Thanks for finding both of my blogs. I’m glad to meet you!
Which year(s) were you at the Festival of Preachers?
I think there is a contact page on my blog if you’d like to stay in touch.

    Pentecost blessings,

    • Cody –

Thank you for following as well. Good to meet you too! Actually, this past festival was my first. Were you there? I loved it very much. I couldn’t find a contact page on your blog but i’ll look at the other one. It’s great to have this chat!

      • Sara,
The form may be on the Benedixiste Domine blog.
I am a Charter Member of the Academy and was there in ’10 and ’11.
Time and travel have prevented me from making it since then. Perhaps this year!
        All the best,
