This week, I am thankful for:
1. Three years at Scott Boulevard Baptist Church
Here’s hoping for three more!
I have a mom and a mother. I don’t know my biological mother, but I’m thankful for her, and most grateful for my mom, grandmothers, Walsie my step-gran, and my sister who is a wonderful mother to my sweet niece.
3. Scented Candles
Simple pleasures make life bright. I have a citrus and spruce one in my room, and a moss and oakwood in my bathroom. They make everything smell happy and clean.
I’ve got a bunch going right now. The Handmaid’s Tale on audible, and The Kitchen God’s Wife by Amy Tan and The Grace of Kings by Ken Liu in hard/paperback. Oh to get lost in a good book!
5. Better Together
I’m excited to spend a year learning about how to use our differences to make a difference.
Low glycemic impact, and fairly versatile. They’ve spiced up my boring ish diet by being a great tostada substitute.
So many celebrations have happened recently and there are so many to come. Happy times thanking God for God’s blessings.
What are you thankful for?
