Series: Pastoral Questions for Late Life and End of Life Conversations, Based on the Book Being Mortal, by Atul Gawande

We, as a church staff, just finished reading Being Mortal, by Atul Gawande. I highly recommend this book. I’m like an evangelist for this book. Go get it, read it, let it transform the conversations you have about your own mortality and the things that matter most to you and to your loved ones.

Over the next few weeks, I will be doing a series on sarainrealife outlining some questions I came up with for use in my pastoral practice, after reading this book. I offer this series to you as a resource, either for your own pastoral practice, or life experiences in general.

This will be a 7-post series of questions for conversation and personal reflection covering the following topics: Aging, Mortality, Medical Concerns, What Matters Most, Meaning in Old Age, Hope in Old Age, Death.

Stay tuned!
