Your Eyes

Another Baja Missions inspired post. Written for the kids at the City of Children and the families in the poverty-stricken areas of Baja California, Mexico, it’s an ode to the soul of Mexico and the Churches of Christ in Baja – their eyes say it all.

“Your Eyes”

When I need to know if love exists, I look into your eyes. When I need to see redemption I look into your eyes. Mercy, healing, grace and peace are all the things I find when I look into your eyes.

Dark like coffee, smooth like jazz, shining like a crystal ball. Sparkling through a smile or glistening through tears; everything I need to know about life I find when I look into your eyes.

When I need to see love I look into your eyes. When I need to experience saving grace I look into your eyes.

Dark like granite, smooth like glass, open wide in wonder or closed in prayer; everything I need to know about love I find when I look into your eyes.

Jesus’ love, freedom and rescue are the things I find when I look into your eyes.
